The Great Falsehood and Misguidance of Yasir Qadhi made Plain and Clear – Revisited

This clip was uploaded on 9th January 2014 to YouTube, in which our elder brother and ustadh, Abu Iyaad Amjad Rafiq, warned against Yasir Qadhi upon insight. Fast forward 8 years later, how many people have now (or recently) realised the deviance and misguidance of Yasir Qadhi?

Ustadh Abu Hakeem also provided insight and warned against the misguidance and deviance of Yasir Qadhi before this in a Q&A session on October 2008 in Toronto, Canada.

Yasir Qadhi’s deviance was known even before all of this, after the infamous pledge of allegience to cooperate with Sufis, Asharis and others belonging to innovated and misguided sects.

Video description: NOTE: Audio for the FULL TALK can be downloaded here:

Please share this video, especially if you hold similar concerns about the direction Yasir Qadhi is taking Muslims, particularly the youth, with his populist campaign, undermining of historical scholarship (Imams of the Salaf) and downplaying major doctrinal and creedal issues, past or present.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This video and the supported proofs and evidences provided aren’t a personal attack on Yasir Qadhi and should not be construed as such. We kindly ask people to watch the video first, preferably several times, before forming a stance. Judging by the comments of some people it is doubtful they’ve even watched the full video, and are just supporting Qadhi based upon emotions and blind loyalty, without little reflection on the realities, Allah knows best. Mixing with orientalists (at Yale), non-Musim academics, Sufis, Rafidah, Ikhwanis, rationalists, and others besides, has clearly had an effect on Yasir Qadhi which no honest person can deny.

Yahyaa bin Katheer said, “Sulaimaan bin Daawood –alaihis salaam –said: Do no pass a judgement over anyone with anything until you see whom he befriends.” [Al-Ibaanah (2/464)]

Yasir Qadhi is knowingly misinterpreting the hadith of the 73 sects (for whatever reason or agenda) by essentially saying that the majority of Muslims are upon the haqq, Tawheed, Sunnah and right guidance using general ahadith (such as Allah’s mercy) which don’t apply in this case and don’t support his spurious proposition and opinion. He studied in Madinah for a while so has no excuse for mixing truth with falsehood and concealing the truth whilst he knows.

Kindly reflect on the following:

1) “you will see many differences”,
2) “religious ignorance will spread”,
3) “one holding firmly onto his religion will be like one holding onto hot coals”,
4) “Then there will remain ignorant people who, when consulted, will give verdicts according to their opinions whereby they will mislead others and go astray”
5) “My followers will copy the deeds of the previous nations and follow them very closely, span by span, and cubit by cubit (i.e., inch by inch)”
6) “At that time you will be numerous! But you will be scum like the scum carried by the torrent…and Allaah will indeed throw weakness (wahn – love of this world and hatred for death) into your hearts.”
7) “Islam began as something strange, and it shall return to being something strange so give glad tidings to the strangers.”
8) “There will not cease to be a group from my ummah triumphant upon the truth”
9) “You do not know what changes and new things they did after you.”
10) “Before the Last Hour there would be many liars.”
11) “Be patient till you meet your Lord, for no time will come upon you but the time following it will be worse than it.”
12) “My Ummah will split into 73 sects, all of which are in the Fire except one”

Full text of ahadith can be found elsewhere in the comments section, all with references.

So are the majority of Muslims really upon the Haqq and the Straight Path, the path to salvation, in light of the authentic ahadith above? All these ahadith collectively cannot be explained and reconciled with Yasir Qadhi’s dodgy interpretation.

[PART 1] HADITH REFLECTIONS:

HADITH 1:
“Islam began as something strange, and it shall return to being something strange so give glad tidings to the STRANGERS.”

[Sahih Muslim, The Book of Faith, Chapter 67, No 270, Narrated by Abu Huraira (radiyallahu ‘anhu)]

HADITH 2:
‘Abdur-Rahmaan ibn ‘Amr as-Sulami and Hujr ibn Hujr both said:
“…al-‘Irbad (radiyallahu ‘anhu) said: The Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) lead us in prayer one day and then he faced us and gave us an eloquent sermon due to which the eyes flowed with tears and the hearts were moved, so one of us said,

“Oh Messenger of Allah it is as if this is a farewell sermon, so what do you advise us with? He (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said, “I advise you with the fear of Allah and to hear and obey (your leaders) even if an Abyssinian slave were to rule over you. For whomsoever lives amongst you after me, will see MANY DIFFERENCES so upon you is to follow my Sunnah AND the Sunnah of the rightly guided caliphs after me. Stick to it and bite onto it with the molar teeth and be warned of the newly invented matters for verily every newly invented matter is an innovation and every INNOVATION IS MISGUIDANCE.”

[Sahih Sunan Abi Dawood, no. 4607]

HADITH 3:
Narrated Abu Huraira (radiyallahu ‘anhu), the Prophet said, “The HOUR WILL NOT BE ESTABLISHED UNTIL my followers copy the deeds of the previous nations and FOLLOW THEM VERY CLOSELY, span by span, and cubit by cubit (i.e., inch by inch).” It was said, “O Allah’s Apostle! Do you mean by those (nations) the Persians and the Byzantines?” The Prophet said, “Who can it be other than they?”

[Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, The Book of Holding Fast to the Book and the Sunnah, Hadith no. 6848]

Comment #3:

[PART 2] HADITH REFLECTIONS:

HADITH 4:
Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr (radiyallahu ‘anhu), I heard the Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wassallam) saying, “Allah will not deprive you of knowledge after he has given it to you, but it will be taken away through the death of the religious learned men with their knowledge. THEN THERE WILL REMAIN IGNORANT PEOPLE WHO, WHEN CONSULTED, WILL GIVE VERDICTS ACCORDING TO THEIR OPINIONS WHEREBY THEY WILL MISLEAD OTHERS AND GO ASTRAY.”

[Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, The Book of Holding Fast to the Book and the Sunnah, Hadith no. 6837]

HADITH 5:
The Prophet (sallallahu ‘alayhi wassallam) said, “NEAR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE HOUR there will be days during which RELIGIOUS IGNORANCE WILL SPREAD, knowledge will be taken away (vanish) and there will be much Al-Harj, and Al-Harj means killing.”

[Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, The Book of Tribulations and the End of the World, Hadeeth No. 6611, Narrated by ‘Abdullah and Abu Musa]

HADITH 6:
On the authority of Anas bin Maalik (radiallaahu ‘anhu), who said: “The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:
» يأتِي عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ، القَابِضُ عَلَى دِي نِوِ كَالقَابِضِ عَلَى الجَمرِ «
“There will come upon the people a time where THE ONE HOLDING FIRMLY ONTO HIS RELIGION WILL BE LIKE ONE HOLDING ONTO HOT COALS.” [Reported by at-Tirmidhee in Kitaab al-Fitan (no.2260)]

Shaykh al-Albaanee declared this hadeeth to be Saheeh due to its many witnessing narrations in Sisilatul-Ahadeeth as-Saheehah (no.957).

[PART 3] HADITH REFLECTIONS:

HADITH 7:
From Thawbaan (رضي الله عنه‏) who said that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:

“The nations are about to invite one another and come upon you just as those eating invite others to share in their dish.” Someone asked, “Will that be because we are few in number that day?” He replied, “No, at that time you will be NUMEROUS! But you will be SCUM like the scum carried by the torrent, and Allaah will remove the fear of you from the hearts of your enemies, and Allaah will indeed throw weakness (wahn) into your hearts.” So someone asked, “What is the WEAKNESS (WAHN)?” He replied, “LOVE OF THIS WORLD AND HATRED FOR DEATH.”

[Reported by Abu Dawood (no. 4297), Ahmad (5/278) & at-Tabaraanee in al-Kabeer (no. 1452)]

HADITH 8:
It has been narrated on the authority of Thawban that the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

“There will not cease to be A GROUP from my ummah triumphant upon the TRUTH. Those who OPPOSE them will not be able to harm them, nor will those who ABANDON them, until Allaah’s order comes about (Day of Judgment) and they are in that state.”

[Sahih Muslim, The Book on Government (20), No. 4715]

HADITH 9:

Narrated Sahl bin Sa’d (رضي الله عنه‏) :

I heard the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) saying, “I am your predecessor at the Lake-Fount (Kauthar), and whoever will come to it, will drink from it, and whoever will drink from it, will never become thirsty after that. There will come to me SOME PEOPLE whom I know and they know me, and then a barrier will be set up between me and them.” Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri added that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) further said: “I will say those people are from me. It will be said, ‘YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT CHANGES AND NEW THINGS THEY DID AFTER YOU.’ Then I will say, ‘FAR REMOVED (FROM MERCY), FAR REMOVED (FROM MERCY), THOSE WHO CHANGED (THE RELIGION) AFTER ME!”

[Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, The Book of Tribulations and the End of the World, No. 6601]:

HADITH 10:

Jabir b. Samura reported: I heard Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) as saying: “Before the Last Hour there would be MANY LIARS, and there is an addition in the hadith transmitted on the authority of Abu Ahwas of these words:” I said to him: Did you hear it from Allaah’s Messenger (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam)? He said: Yes.”

[Sahih Muslim, The Book of Tribulations and the Signs of the Last Hour, No. 6986, CHAPTER: THE LAST HOUR WOULD NOT COME UNTIL A PERSON WOULD PASS BY A GRAVE AND WISH THAT HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE OCCUPANT OF THAT GRAVE BECAUSE OF THIS CALAMITY]

HADITH 11:

Narrated Az-Zubair bin ‘Adi:

We went to Anas bin Malik and complained about the wrong we were suffering at the hand of Al-Hajjaj. Anas bin Malik said, “Be patient till you meet your Lord, FOR NO TIME WILL COME UPON YOU BUT THE TIME FOLLOWING IT WILL BE WORSE THAN IT. I heard that from the Prophet.”

[Sahih Bukhari, Volume 9, The Book of Tribulations and the End of the World, no. 6615]

HADITH 12:

Narrated by ‘Abdullaah ibn ‘Amr (radiyallaahu ‘anhu) that the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

“The Children of Israa’eel split into seventy two sects and my Ummah will split into seventy three sects, all of which are in the Fire except one.” They asked, “Which is that one, O Messenger of Allaah?” He replied, “That which I and my Companions are upon.”

[At-Tirmidhee (no. 2641), and declared Hasan by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

Comment #5:

And mix not truth with falsehood, nor conceal the truth while you know (the truth).

Surah Al-Baqarah (2):42.

Comment #6:

BACKBITING OR ADVICE (AND CLARIFYING THE HAQQ)?

1) Abu Zur’ah Ad-Dimashqee said: “I heard Abu Mushar being asked about a man that makes mistakes, misconstrues and distorts ahaadeeth, so he said: ‘Make his affair known.’ So I said to Abu Zur’ah: ‘Do you consider that to be backbiting?’ He said: ‘No.'”

[Sharh ‘Ilal At-Tirmidhee of Ibn Rajab (1/349) and Al-Kifaayah of Al-Baghdaadee (91-92) but there occurs in Al-Khateeb’s report: “So I said to Abu Mushar” instead of “So I said to Abu Zur’ah.”]

2) ‘Abdullaah, the son of Imaam Ahmad said: “Abu Turaab An-Nakhshabee once went to my father, so my father began saying ‘this person is weak’ and ‘that person is reliable.’ So Abu Turaab said: ‘O Shaikh, do not backbite the scholars!’ So my father turned to him and said: ‘Woe be to you! This is advice, this is not backbiting.'”

[Al-Kifaayah fee ‘Ilm-ir-Riwaayah of al-Khateeb Al-Baghdaadee (92) and Sharh ‘Ilal At-Tirmidhee of Ibn Rajab (1/350)]

3) Muhammad Ibn Bindaar As-Sabbaak Al-Jarjaanee said: “I once said to Ahmad Ibn Hanbal: ‘Verily, it is becoming hard upon me to say: (So and so is weak) and (so and so is a liar). So Ahmad said: ‘If you remain silent and I remain silent, then who will make the ignorant person aware of the authentic from the defective?'”

[Majmoo’-ul-Fataawaa of Ibn Taimiyyah (28/231)]

Comment #7:

A stark decision for a Yasir Qadhi supporter or sympathiser to make:

Stick to the Athaar or hold onto Yasir Qadhi’s personal opinions?

Imaam Abdur-Rahmaan al-Awzaa’ee (d. 157H, rahimahullah):

“Hold fast to the narrations of the Salaf, even if the people were to abandon you. Beware of the opinions of the people, no matter how much they beautify it with their speech.”

[Related by al-Khateeb al-Baghdadee in his excellent book Sharafu Ashaabul-Hadeeth (p.7)]

Which one you gonna choose?

Comment #8:

Another evidence against Yasir Qadhi’s falsehood is how come some of the Salaf like Shaykhul-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and Ahmad bin Hanbal (rahimahumullah) were imprisoned if the sects at that time were made up as he claims of only a handful of people (i.e. heads of innovated sects like Jahmiyyah, Qadariyyah, Khawarij, Murjiah, Mu’tazilah, etc), and the people belonging to these innovated and misguided sects weren’t that many and widespread? How did they manage to exert so much influence?

Imprisonment came about due to a “handful of loudmouths”? It just doesn’t make sense. They were imprisoned due to the sects and their innovated beliefs which had a strong hold over many people (men, women, old and young), especially those in influential positions, like rulers, judges, ministers, arbitrators and the like. Who is Yasir Qadhi trying to fool, the uninformed?

We recommend reading the monumental work by the great Imam and defender of the Sunnah, Ahmad bin Hanbal (rahimahullah), Foundations of the Sunnah. Read about the mihna (trial). Anyone who casts aspersions or belittles this great Imam or downplays and trivializes major, serious, deviations in ‘aqeedah and innovated beliefs, past or present, or even defends heretics and innovators (especially the leading figureheads and founders) stay well away from him or her and don’t attend any of their courses or listen to any of their talks! Protect yourself and save yourself from callers to the gates of Hell, Allahu Musta’an.

1 Response to The Great Falsehood and Misguidance of Yasir Qadhi made Plain and Clear – Revisited

  1. islamtees says:

Comments by others (blind followers of Yasir Qadhi and his sympathisers) and replies back

    Comment #1:

A true Muslim will not humiliate another Muslim in public. If you have such strong views should you not approach him and speak to him in a kindly manner before publically shaming him? Do we really need to show the non-Muslims how segregated we are as a ummah? A true scholar will not do this to start with!!!!!

    Reply:

Listen, the public statements and actions of Yasir Qadhi have led to his own humiliation. For example, signing pledges of co-operation and mutual understanding with grave worshipping Sufi’s like Hamza Yusuf (translator of Shirk filled poem, the Burdah), Zaid Shakir and others. He stays silent about committers and promoters of Shirk and Bid’ah but has an aversion and enmity towards those who warn against Shirk and Bid’ah. How can this be logical, it just doesn’t make sense?

He sits and attends seminars taught by the likes of Tony Blair, philosophers and western academics (orientalists) at Yale University (a secular western university). Why would someone like Qadhi put his heart to trial by listening to the doubts of non-Muslims who have an aversion to Islaam, who will mix truth with falsehood, who cast doubt about the sources of Islaam, who promote Sufism/mysticism/falsafah and who doctor or distort Islamic history? If these orientalists were so knowledgeable about Islaam, then they would have done the right and wise thing by now, become Muslims!!!

Scholars, his former teachers at Madinah university and students of knowledge (Qadhi’s former classmates) have advised him on several occasions, but he didn’t accept the advice. So do you think he’s going to accept the advice coming from an average Muslim?

The non-Muslims already know how divided and disunited Muslims are. They’ve known this for many, many years and it’s a lot easier nowadays because of social media where youtube, facebook, twitter, google plus, etc, comments are publicly viewable for anyone to see (no account even needed!). Don’t fall for this fake artificial unity espoused by Ikhwani’s and the (exaggerated) narrative that “Islaam is under attack and the Ummah is bleeding so we all must unite and forget our differences to fight these Crusaders (and their ilk) against Islamophobia and other forms of injustice or for social justice”, because the Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wasallam) said:

“There will not cease to be a group from my ummah triumphant upon the truth. Those who oppose them will not be able to harm them, nor will those who abandon them, until Allaah’s order comes about (Day of Judgment) and they are in that state.”

[Sahih Muslim, The Book on Government (20), No. 4715, Narrated by Thawbaan (radiyallahu ‘anhu)]

Yes, Muslims utter the Shahada but this one believes that it means there is no ruler (haakim) but Allaah, and that one believes it means there is no Rabb (Creator) but Allaah, and another believes that it means there is no God but God, which could be interpreted as “everything is Allah, there is no Creator or created”, i.e. the heretical and heinous belief in Wahdatul-Wujood (unity of existence), even though those who hold this literal and incorrect translation (“there is no God but God”) to be true may be unaware of the implications. So we’re even divided on the fundamentals of belief and the usool, even though Ikhwani’s will do their best to downplay this (using terms like “theological differences”) and overlook this for whatever political agenda and interest they’re pursuing.

Shaykh Fawzaan has explained several reasons for the ways and means of achieving unity (the true fruitful unity that is) such as correcting one’s Creed and following the manhaj (methodology) of the Salaf, whether it be the manhaj in ‘aqeedah (beliefs), the manhaj in da’wah (calling to Allaah), the manhaj in enjoining the good and forbidding the evil, the manhaj in how to judge between people, and so on. How are we going to be truly united if we’re not even aware of misguidance and deviation when it appears, so that we can oppose it and be united upon the haqq?

Please understand and reflect on all the points raised.

    Comment #2:

This speech is not necessary. How are you sure that he is misguided because he doesn’t follow your own way or methodologies. How are you sure your work will be accepted by Allah? Why don’t you leave him to Allah to judge?

    Reply:

This clarification was very necessary due to the great misguidance being espoused by Yasir Qadhi through his belief that the majority of Muslims in the world are upon the Haqq and the path to salvation which clearly goes against the teachings in the Qur’aan and Sunnah. Kindly, read and reflect upon all the ahadith mentioned in the comments elsewhere on this page.

Is there any problem or blame on a Muslim wanting good for others by wanting them to FOLLOW THE WAY OF THE SALAF, SALAFI MANHAJ? This is not a call to following a single person’s way or methodology but the way of our Righteous Predecessors (at the head of them, the Sahaba, who learnt directly from our beloved Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم and had sound fahm of the Deen). Nor is it a call to follow the ideology of a single individual like the erroneous and deviant ideologies of Hasan al-Banna, Sayyid Qutb, Taqi ud-Din an-Nabahani, Abul A’la Maududi, and their likes (or those who promote their thoughts) in our times.

Reflect upon the statements of our Salaf such as the following:

    1) Abu Haneefah (d.151H):

“Stick to the athaar (narrations) and the WAY of the SALAF and beware of newly invented matters, for all of it is innovation.”

    [Related by as-Suyootee in Sawnul-Mantaq wal-Kalaam (p.32)]

    2) al-Awzaa’ee (d. 157H):

“Hold fast to the narrations of the SALAF, even if people were to abandon you. Beware of the opinions of the people, no matter how much they beautify it with their speech.”

    [Related by al-Khateeb al-Baghdadee in Sharafu Ashaabul-Hadeeth (p.7)]

    3) Al-Asbahaanee (d.535H):

“The sign of Ahlus-Sunnah is that they FOLLOW the SALAFUS-SAALIH and abandon all that is innovated and newly introduced into the Deen.”

    [Al-Hujjah fee Bayaanil Mahajjah 1/364]

    4) lbn Taymiyyah (d.728H):

“There is no criticism for the one who proclaims the WAY (madhab) of the SALAF, who attaches himself to it and refers to it. Rather, it is obligatory to accept that from him by unanimous agreement (Ittifaaq) because the way (madhab) of the SALAF is nothing but the Truth (Haqq).”

    [Majmoo al-Fataawaa 4:149]

Concerning your statement: “How are you sure your work will be accepted by Allah? Why don’t you leave him to Allah to judge?”

Then please don’t put words into my mouth as I never said my work will be accepted by Allah. Can’t you see that your own argument could be used against you, “how do you know Yasir Qadhi’s work will be accepted by Allah?” What, because he’s got a lot of followers, that definitely means his works will be accepted or perhaps he’s got certifications so that now means he can’t go astray and deviate!? Or maybe you think because he possibly got the top marks in his studies in Madinah and that he is now irreproachable and beyond criticism and scrutiny?

And this remark “let Allaah be the judge”, then Yasir Qadhi uses this himself. It seems to nod quite a few heads, especially those affected by Ikhwani thought. It’s often used to prevent scrutiny of questionable beliefs and practices and allows innovation, misguidance and deviation to spread by trying to silence people who rightfully clarify that which opposes the Sunnah and the way and understanding of the Salaf. This remark shouldn’t be used to run away from naseeha.

Do reflect upon the above and strive to follow the Qur’aan and Sunnah upon the understanding of the Salaf.

    Comment #3:

You confuse khilaaf with baatil. This presentation is not gheebah, but nameemah and ifk. Show me one video where Yasir Qadhi where he teaches baatil. If a scholar or a student of knowledge does a mistake then ONLY scholars are allowed to judge, but not laymen like you.

    Reply:

As far as I’m aware none of the Aalim Rabbaanee’s, those who’ve passed away not too long ago such as Shaykh Albaanee, bin Baaz, Uthaymeen and Muqbil (Rahimahumullah) have interpreted this hadith in this erroneous way (majority upon the haqq not the minority). Who from the earlier Righteous Predecessors has interpreted this hadith in this way too?

How do we understand the hadith of the ghurabaa (strangers) if the majority (and not the minority) are upon the haqq? And how do we understand the hadith of the one triumphant group not being harmed by those who oppose or abandon them in light of Qadhi’s faulty interpretation? Serious questions.

The video of his interpretation of the hadith of the 73 sects at an ISNA conference contains baatil such as his downplaying the deviation of the sects and trying to give the impression that they’ve long gone when the reality is that the beliefs of these sects are still prevalent and have affected many such as by way of example:

    1) Performing Takfeer of someone based upon a major sin they commit like adultery, gambling, drinking alcohol, taking intoxicants, ribaa (usury), etc. A belief of the KHAWARIJ sect.

    2) Allowing rebellion against the legitimate Muslim ruler, whether pious or wicked (usually the result of absolute unrestricted takfir without adhering to tafseel and detail in this matter). A belief of the KHAWARIJ sect.

    3) Belief that actions are not a part of Eemaan. A belief of the MURJI’AH sect.

    4) Denial of the belief that eemaan increases and decreases. A belief of the MURJI’AH sect.

    5) Belief that Allaah is not above the Throne (and separate and distinct from His creation). A belief of JAHMIYYAH sect.

    6) Belief that the written mushaf (copy of the Qur’aan which one holds in one’s hand for example) is not the Qur’aan. A belief of the JAHMIYYAH (Lafdhiyyah) sect.

    7) Performing Ta’teel of the Attributes of Allaah. A belief of the JAHMIYYAH sect.

    8) The doctine that the Akhbaar al-Aahaad are not proof in beliefs (Aqaa’id). A belief of the MU’TAZILAH sect.

    9) Believing that the Qur’aan is incomplete and has been tampered with. A belief of the RAAFIDAH sect.

    10) Declaring all but a handful of the Sahaba to be kuffaar. A belief of the RAAFIDAH sect.

    11) Belief that certain Imaams have knowledge of the Unseen past, present and future. A belief of the RAAFIDAH sect.

    12) Belief that the slave does not have a choice or will and that the one doing everything is Allah. A belief of the JABARIYYAH sect.

    13) Belief that the slave does as he wants without the will of Allaah i.e. denial of Qadr. A belief of the QADARIYYAH sect.

    14) Belief that Allaah has no prior knowledge of anything until it comes into existence. A belief of the QADARIYYAH sect.

    15) Denying ‘aqeedah (belief) in the Punishment of the Grave. A belief of the QADARIYYAH sect.

    16) Not confirming any of Allaah’s Attributes, except seven and distorting the meaning of the rest of them. A belief of the ASH’ARIYYAH.

    17) Belief that Eemaan is just tasdeeq (assent of the heart). A belief of the MATURIDIYYAH.

Think about the beliefs pointed out above and how they are common (some of them more prominently so).

How many times have you heard people saying for example, “It’s the belief in the heart that matters” or who believe this to be true. So what about speech of the tongue and actions of the limbs, are they not part of eemaan too?!

How many people believe that Allaah is not above the Throne and believe in Aristotelian philosophy, Sufi metaphysics or Wahdatul-Wujood instead? Millions of people, Allah knows best!

How many people, groups and movements have been poisoned by the fikr and ideologies of Sayyid Qutb, an-Nabahani and Mawdudi AND THOSE who revived their way in our times? Those who call to either or any of the following; revolutions and rebellion against the authorities (khurooj), for overthowing the governments, suicide bombings, hijackings, mass takfir, etc, the likes of Yusuf Al-Qaradawi, Salman al-Awda, Safar al-Hawali, bin Laden, Ayman az-Zawahiri, Abu Qatada, Abdullah al-Faisal, Anwar al-Awlaki, Omar Bakri, Abu Hamza, Anjem Choudhary, al-Zarqawi, Muhammad al-Mas’aree, Sa’d al-Faqeeh, Muhammad Suroor, Adnan Aroor, Abu Muhammad al-Maqdisi, Muhammad Al-Maghrawee and Ahmad Musa Jibril to name some. How many people have been affected by this, resulting in revolutions, coups, and turmoil in various Muslim lands?

Hope you now understand the misguidance and deviation of Yasir Qadhi and no this presentation is not nameemah or ifk, only naseehah, clarification of the haqq and rejection of baatil.

    Comment #4:

The Salafis are the minority of the Ummah. They should not be followed.

    Reply:

Being in the majority is not necessarily an indicator of being upon the haqq. It is the haqq that should be followed, whether that is with the minority or not…“The Jamaa’ah is those who conform to the truth, even if they were alone” as stated by ‘Abdullah Ibn Masood (رضي الله عنه‏).

The population of the world in 2019 is 7.7 billion. Out of that, 1.8 billion are believed to be Muslim. So Muslims are in the minority, and non-Muslims are in the majority. Does that mean non-Muslims are correct and should be followed because they are in the majority?

Regarding the population of Muslims, then it may be true that Sufis/Ash’aris form the majority but they are divided and disunited amongst themselves as there are many different tariqas such as Qadiri, Chisti, Oveyssi, Shadhili, Jerrahi, Naqshbandi, Nimatullahi, Mevlevi and the Ashrafi. Each of these orders hold heretical beliefs and engage in deviant innovated practices or acts of worship which opposes the creed of Ahlus-Sunnah wal-Jamaa’ah such as saint worship, grave worship, mysticism, believing the Qur’aan has esoteric or hidden meanings, wahdatul-wujood, hulool, ta’teel, innovated philosophy and terminology, belief in superstitions, fabricated stories and narrations, celebrating the Mawlid, engaging in music and dancing, and so on.Therefore, they should not be followed.

How many times is it mentioned in the Qur’aan about most of mankind not being upon the truth and right guidance? Here are a few ayaat for example:

    1. “And most of them do not follow (anything) but conjecture” [Surah Yunus (10): Verse 36]
    2. “Most surely there is a sign in that, but most of them will not believe.” [Surah Shoara (26): Verse 8]
    3. “And We did not find in most of them any (faithfulness to) covenant, and We found most of them to be certainly transgressors.”
    [Surah Aaraaf (7): Verse 102]
    4. “Or do you think that most of them do hear or understand? They are nothing but as cattle; nay, they are straying farther off from the path.” [Surah Furqaan (25): Verse 44]
    5. “And most men will not believe though you desire it eagerly.” [Surah Yusuf (10): Verse 103]

There are also ahadith which mention the minority being upon the haqq and right guidance, for example:

    HADITH 1:
It has been narrated on the authority of Thawban (رضي الله عنه‏) that the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

“There will not cease to be A GROUP from my ummah triumphant upon the TRUTH. Those who OPPOSE them will not be able to harm them, nor will those who ABANDON them, until Allaah’s order comes about (Day of Judgment) and they are in that state.”

[Sahih Muslim, The Book on Government (20), No. 4715]

    HADITH 2:

Narrated by ‘Abdullaah ibn ‘Amr (radiyallaahu ‘anhu) that the Messenger of Allaah (sallAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

“The Children of Israa’eel split into seventy two sects and MU UMMAH WILL SPLIT INTO SEVENTY THREE SECTS, all of which are in the Fire EXCEPT ONE.” They asked, “Which is that one, O Messenger of Allaah?” He replied, “THAT WHICH I AND MY COMPANIONS ARE UPON.”

[At-Tirmidhee (no. 2641), and declared Hasan by Shaikh al-Albaanee]

So don’t be fooled by numbers and the majority.

Why are ratings disabled??? Why are “Salafis” disabling ratings of their videos

    Reply:

The reason is simple, fan members and blind followers of Yasir Qadhi and his ilk from the celebrities, personalities and “shuyookh” of this world will always hate the truth (“haters will always hate” as they say) and dislike the videos, especially those that live in Al-Maghrib world.

You’ll observe change in such people who attend Al-Maghrib pay-per-view seminars and find them to be sentimental and full of doubts and misgivings concerning Salafis and their ulemaa but full of praise, admiration and partisanship for those with flowery speech and little concern for the correct ‘aqeedah and manhaj, and who to call to themselves. All this after they may have had initial good thoughts and opinions of true scholars like Shaykh Al-Albaanee, bin-Baaz or Uthaymeen and other contemporary Salafi scholars, before attending fiqh of fulaan and fulaan’s seminars.

People are wising up now and are realising Al-Maghrib is not for them anymore, alhamdulillah.

Note: ratings for this video are disabled but enabled for the vast majority of other videos on this channel.

You know Yasir Qadhi is misguided, Allal spoke to you who is misguided????

    Reply:

Yes, we know Yasir Qadhi is misguided because of his public statements and actions.

Example 1: His public kalaam concerning the hadeeth of 73 sects (which is almost mutawaatir in meaning because reported by so many sahaba) and saying that the firqa (sects) means the small number of individuals responsible for the sects (heads of innovation and a few of their followers), which none of the ulema (those much older, wiser and knowledgeable than him) have spoken of or known to have stated such a belief.

Example 2: His pledge to cooperate with Sufi grave worshippers and being cordial with them such as Hamza Yusuf and Zaid Shakir, whilst being averse to those who follow the Quran and Sunnah upon the understanding and way of the Salafus-Saalih and who avoid and warn against Shirk and Bid’ah.

Gaining knowledge of the nature of bid’ah, its harm and great danger should hopefully lead you to recognise the falsehood coming out of Yasir Qadhi’s mouth, who’s amazed with his own opinions and tries to impose them on others who may not know any better.

Kindly read this beneficial eBook, Innovation in Light of the Perfection of the Shari’ah:

Also, check out http://www.bidah.com which covers the topic of bid’ah in much greater details and repels common doubts and misunderstandings. Moreover, reflect upon the ahadith provided for this video and how they (as a whole) contradict Yasir Qadhi’s personal opinions. It’s the Naql over the ‘Aql!

Stop backbiting and this Venom, if you mean well you a muslim give advise, do not hang out on Internet!

    Reply:

This is not backbiting it is advice, clarification and rebuttal.

When Yasir Qadhi spreads misguidance and deviation publicly on the internet, then who will make the average Muslim (who may not know any better) know that this is misguidance and deviation, the one with the knowledge and ability. Remaining silent would lead to falsehood, deviation and misguidance spreading. That is why false ideas, faulty interpretations and errors in aqidah and methodology need to be refuted, so that the haqq is made clear from the baatil, and any confusion or doubts removed.

    Comment #8:

SubhanAllah so only the Wahabi’s are on the right path? What was the right path before Wahabi? Refuting others by name and call this “Following the sunna” How was this a part of the Sunnah of our beloved prophet peace be upon him.

    Reply:

Mike, reflect upon the following points please brother:

    1) The right/straight path is that of the Salafus-Saalih (righteous predecessors). Those who follow their path and implement their methodology are the Salafis. Now there may be some who claim to be Salafi or upon Salafiyyah, but upon closer examination that turns out not to be the case, they are false claimants who we should be wary of. Salafis don’t call themselves “Wahhabis”, this is a derogatory label usually used by Rafidah, Sufis, Barelwis, Asharis, Maturidis, orientalists and the like. Shaykh Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab (d. 1206H), (rahimahullah), followed the way of the great Imaams of the Salaf (mountains of knowledge) before him like; Ibn Kathir (d. 774H), Ibn Qayyim, (d. 751H), Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah (d. 728H), Imaam Ahmad bin Hanbal (d. 241H), Sufyaan ath-Thawree (d. 161H), Imaam al-Awzaee (d. 157H), etc (may Allah have mercy upon them all).

Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah has a well know statement about following the way of the Salaf:

“There is no fault (blame) upon the one who proclaims the madhhab of the Salaf, who ascribes to it and affiliates himself to it. Rather, it is obligatory to accept that from him by unanimous agreement, for the madhhab of the Salaf is never but the truth.” (Majmoo’ al-Fatawaa 4/149)

    2) There are some ahadith in which our beloved Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) mentioned people by name or a person’s name was mentioned to him but he did not reprimand the person for mentioning the name even though they could have been more general and not mentioned the name, such as for example:

“As for Abu jahm, he does not put down his staff from his shoulder (i.e. he beats his wife), and as for Mu’awiya, he is a poor man having no property”. [Sahih Muslim, Book of Divorce (no . 1480)]

‘Ai’shah (radyAllahu ‘anhaa) reported that: “Hind bint ‘Utbah said, ‘O Messenger of Allah! Verily Abu Sufyaan is a stingy man and he does not give me what is sufficient for me and my children. May I take from him while he is not aware of it? The Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Take what is sufficient for you and your children, in goodness.” [Sahih Bukhari, Book of Charity (no. 3564) and Sahih Muslim: Book of Judgement (no. 1714)].

The Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) mentioned the condition of these people. Abu Iyaad is clarifying the deviation of Yasir Qadhi (based upon ‘ilm and ‘adl so that people can distinguish truth from falsehood and unite upon it, true unity that is and not the fake, superficial type of unity that neglects the call and attention to the correct aqeedah).

Regarding the hadith narrated by Ai’shah (radyAllahu ‘anhaa), Al-Haafidh Ibn Hajr (rahimahullah) said: “This hadeeth is used as evidence for the permissibility of mentioning things about people that they don’t like (to have mentioned), if it is done for the purpose of seeking a legal ruling, complaining, AND OTHER THAN THAT. And it is one of the cases in which backbiting is permitted.”[Fath-ul-Baaree (9/509)]

Fath-ul-Baaree is the famous commentary of Sahih Bukhari, the most authentic book of Sunnah.

    3) In the books of the Salaf, spanning centuries, Imams have mentioned: “So and so is a Qadari” or “so and so holds the view of the Khawarij”, etc. An example is the following athar:

“Yahyaa bin Sa’eed al-Qattaan said, “When Sufyaan ath-Thawree came to Basrah he began to look into the affair of ar-Rabee bin Subaih and the people’s estimation of him. He asked them, ‘”What is his madhhab?’, and they said, ‘His madhhab is but the Sunnah’. He then asked, ‘Who is his companionship?’ and they replied, ‘The people of Qadr’, so he replied, ‘In that case he is a Qadari’.” Al-Ibaanah (2/453).

    4) The sects and groups of innovation, misguidance and deviation, appeared after the death of our beloved Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam). Even during his lifetime he refuted and warned against Dhul-Khawaisara:

Narrated by Abu Sai’d (radyAllahu ‘anhu) who said:

“While the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) was distributing something, ‘Abdullah bin Dhul-Khuwaisara At-Tamimi came and said: ‘Be just, O Allah’s Messenger!’

The Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam): ‘Woe be to you! Who will be just, if I am not just?’

Umar bin al-Khattab (radyAllahu ‘anhu) said: ‘Let me strike his neck!’

The Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said:

‘Leave him, for he has companions, and if you compare your prayers with their prayers and fasting with theirs, you will look down upon your prayers and fasting, in comparison to theirs. Yet they will go out of the religion as an arrow darts through the game’s body…”

Abu Sai’d (radyAllahu ‘anhu) added: ‘ I testify that I heard this from the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) and I also testify that ‘Ali (radyAllahu ‘anhu) killed those people while I was with him. The man with the description given by the Prophet was brought to ‘Ali (radyAllahu ‘anhu). The following Ayat were revealed in connection with that very person (i.e. ‘Abdullah bin Dhul-Khuwaisara At-Tamimi):

“And among them are men who accuse you in the matter of [the distribution of] charity…” [Surat at-Taubah: 58]

[Reported by Bukhari, Fathul-Bari, Kitab: the Repentance of the Renegades, the Rebellious and Fighting them, Chapter: Killing the Khawarij and the Heretics after establishing the proof against them. 12/6933/290.

    5) The Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) warned against the deviant sects like the Khawarij and Qadariyyah:

Narrated by Yusair bin ‘Amr (radyAllaahu ‘anhu) who said: I asked Sahl bin Hunaif (radyAllaahu ‘anhu), ‘Did you hear the Prophet saying anything about the Khawarij?’ He said: ‘I heard him (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) saying while pointing his hand towards Iraq: ‘There will appear in it (i.e. Iraq) some people who will recite the Qur’an but it will not go beyond their throats, and they will go out from (leave) Islam as an arrow darts through the game’s body.”

[Reported by Bukhari, Fathul Bari, Kitab: the Repentance of the Renegades & the Rebellious & fighting them; Chapter whoever left off killing the Khawarij not to push them away and perhaps that the people do not keep away from him. 12/6934/290. Sahih Muslim, Kitab az-Zakat, Chapter: An Explanation of the Khawarij and their Rulings. 7/1068/15/141.

The Prophet said about them: “The Khawārij are the dogs of the Hellfire.” (Ibn Mājah, 173 from Ibn Abee Awfaa).

It has been narrated that ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿUmar cited the Prophet say: “The Qadarīyyah are the Magians of this Ummah. If they become ill, do not visit them and if they die, do not attend their funerals.” Authenticated by al-Albānī in Ṣaḥiḥ Abū Dāwūd (no.4961).

Strong words from our beloved Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) which we accept as this is his Sunnah and he (sallallaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) spoke the truth.

    6) There are also narrations from the Sahaba that mention the Khawarij/Hururiya. Moreover, Ibn Abbas’s famous debate/refutation of the Khawarij and the famous narration of Abdullah bin Mas’ud (radyAllaahu ‘anhu) reported by ad-Darimi in his Sunan, where he witnessed an innovation and rebuked the doers. Indeed, Yasir Qadhi has praised innovators like Yusuf al-Qaradawi, Safar Al-Hawali and Salman Al-Awdah who justified and were preaching rebellion against the Muslim rulers. He has also praised protests in Egypt and reviles Muslim rulers and governments.

    7) Also, in the science of hadith, Imams would mention people by name and say the hadith they reported are rejected and cite their reasons.

    8) Our Salaf would write books and refutations against individuals and innovated beliefs and practices. For example there are rudood against the figureheads of the Jahmiyyah or Ibn-Taymiyyah’s many refutations or more recently refutations against Sayyid Qutb (a Sufi Ashari who revived the way of the Khawarij). Some of the Salaf would even write poetry to refute innovators and their innovated beliefs like the The Haa’iyyah Poem of Ibn Abee Daawood, Nooniyah al-Qahtaaniyy and Ibn Qudamah’s poetry Allaah’s ‘Uluww. They saw this as their duty (because they had the knowledge and ability) to clarify the haqq and repel the poison of innovators and astray ones which had affected the minds of many of the common folk who were unawares. Through their efforts the sunnah was made clear from bid’ah, guidance from misguidance, hopefully you understand now.

    9) The accusation that it is only youngsters who are criticizing him is plain false as Abu Iyaad is in fact older than Yasir Qadhi. Also, certificates don’t protect you from deviation.

    10) Hopefully you’ll come to realize the misguidance and deviation that Yasir Qadhi is spreading one day, whose condition is getting worse it seems (rejecting the authentic ahadith concerning Ya’jooj and Ma’jooj, sharing platforms and accommodating the Rafidah, being affected by his studies at Yale and non-Muslim academics and teaching dubious Aqeedah courses, for example), may Allah guide us and you.

Muhammad Ibn Bindaar As-Sabbaak Al-Jarjaanee said: “I once said to Ahmad Ibn Hanbal: ‘Verily, it is becoming hard upon me to say: (So and so is weak) and (so and so is a liar). So Ahmad said: ‘If you remain silent and I remain silent, then who will make the ignorant person aware of the authentic from the defective?'”
