Many individuals who are influenced by Tasawwuf (mysticism) and partake in grave worship claim that the “Wahhabi’s” are the Khawarij, using the “Hadith of Najd” to support their claim because according to them it refers to a region in Saudi Arabia. The aim of spreading this lie is to deter people from the true call to Tawheed (singling out Allaah alone for all worship) and abandonment of Shirk, and the well-known scholars who based their call on this methodology of reform (with success) such as Shaykh Muhammad bin ’Abdul-Wahhaab (rahimahullaah). Quite often they are successful in spreading their misguidance and deceiving ignorant Muslims. However, the fact is that there is a clear hadith in Sahih Bukhari (which is the most authentic book after the Qur’aan as agreed upon by orthodox Sunni muslim scholars) which specifically mentions IRAQ by name.
Presented below (taken from Sahih Al-Bukhari, Volume 9, Translated by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan) is the clear proof that the Khawarij officially originated and were from Iraq NOT Saudi Arabia:
You can also refer to online sites containing translations of Sahih Bukhari to be further sure such as the following:
Also, it is well known to any Muslim who has studied Islamic history that the fourth Caliph, Ali’ رضي الله عنه located and killed the Khawarij who were residing in Iraq during the battle of Al-Nahrawaan which took place to the south east of Baghdad in 38AH.
The fitnah of the killing of Al-Husayn also took place in Iraq. Moreover, the earliest deviant sects such as the Qadariyyah and Jahmiyyah emerged from Iraq. The false and innovated beliefs of these sects have been a source of Fitan (trials and afflications) to the Muslims to this day, many of whom have been affected by these beliefs, whether they are aware of this fact or not.
Furthermore, it is well known that the DAJJAL will be followed by JEWS from IRAN and not “Wahhabi’s”. The Daleel:
Anas b. Malik (رضي الله عنه) reported that Allaah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:
“The Dajjal would be followed by seventy thousand Jews of Isfahan wearing Persian shawls.”
