Here’s a brief transcript of part of the lesson which contained some beneficial points.

HADITH 34

Uthmaan bin Affan (radiyAllaahu ‘anhu) narrated that the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said:

“Whoever dies and he knows (has knowledge) that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah alone, then he will enter into Paradise.”

[Reported by Muslim]

Benefits:

– Person who dies upon this statement (the Kalimah) will enter into Paradise.
– From the conditions of this statement is the condition of Knowledge (‘Ilm). Knowledge has to negate ignorance. Need to have knowledge of its meaning.
– Indicates that actions are by their end results, whatever you die upon, this will be your outcome.

HADITH 35

Abu Hurairah (radiyAllaahu ‘anhu) narrated that the Prophet (sallAllaahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said:

“I testify that none has the right to be worshipped except Allaah and that I am the Messenger of Allaah. No servant meets Allaah with these two (i.e. testimonials/testifications) without being in doubt except that he will enter into Paradise.”

[Reported by Muslim]

Benefits:

– Virtue of La ilaha illAllaah and a person is promised entry into Paradise by virtue of making this statement (and abiding by it).
– Connection between Tawheed and Messengership, cannot divorce one from the other. If you deny the Messengership or Messengers in general, you can never ever be a person of Tawheed, it’s impossible.
– Contains one of the conditions of the Kalimah, which is Yaqeen (certainty) as Messenger said (sallAllaahu ‘alaihi wasallam), “without being in doubt”, meaning with certainty which is the opposite of shakk (doubt).
